FIRST Robotics
Mentor for FRC 272 Cyber Crusaders since 2020, and FRC 103 Cybersonics from 2011 to 2020 after competing as a student. Also FTC 14133 and FTC 23598. Wrote and teaches a CAD and mechanical design curriculum.

A SolidWorks class final project that flew the highest in the class, and left time to help classmates with theirs.

UAV-Mounted Meteorological Data Acquisition
A senior capstone replacing single-use weather balloon instruments with a recoverable sensor package on a quadcopter.

Drill to Vacuum Conversion
A class project that turned a power drill into a vacuum by designing the whole flow path, and picked up twice as much as the next team.

- 2025 Winch-Driven Lifting Boom Redesigning a working, one-off utility vehicle hoist into a drawing package that outside fabricators could quote.

CIM-Powered Belt Sander
A belt sander designed around surplus robotics motors, and a cost analysis that convinced me not to build it.

Aquaponic Farm Filter and Solar Charger, Eswatini
New solids-separating filters for a small aquaponic farm's systems, built from hardware store parts, plus a more efficient solar charging setup.
